Whiteheads Are A Struggle For Men As Well
This is a somewhat personal topic to my specific case since I have been suffering from whiteheads for as long as I can remember (they are mostly gone now, thank god).
What are whiteheads?
Whiteheads are nothing more than dirt buildup in the pores of our skin. Pretty much the only difference between whiteheads and black heads is that the WH are closed off, meaning no air gets through to them. In blackheads, the air reaches the debris within the clogged pores and oxidizes it, turning in black.
How you can get rid of whiteheads?
There are a lot of different ways you can get rid of them and we will mention a few down below:
Steaming - steaming your skin is one of the best ways to start your "whitehead destruction" process! Steam will open up your pores, allowing your skin to breathe and help you clear out the impurities and remove the dead skin cells easily.
Scrubbing - this is a second step in your ideal acne removal routine. Once your pores are opened, you can unclog them easily. There are a lot of products and home made recipes you can come across, so use the one most suitable for you and your skin. I, for example, like to both make my own scrubs and buy different ones just to gauge the effectiveness of either one.
Moisturizing - moisturizing is the thrid and final step and it is absolutely crucial. The first two were focused on removing debris from your pores, and left your skin dry and vulnerable to new outbreaks. Moisturizer will moisturize your skin (no surprise there) and close off your pores so they don`t fill up with debris as quickly.
